Dose #208: We're Back, And Here's What's Coming

New guests, new tools, and an audit special. Here's the plan for the rest of 2026.

If you only listen to this podcast during the school year, you might not have noticed I was gone. I was.

I took most of the summer offline. Family trips. The event business. Client work. And a lot of quiet time building tools for the subscription community.

The break was on purpose. I wanted room to think about where this show goes next instead of just shipping another episode every week. Here's what came out of it.

This week’s update is also a short podcast episode, so check out the full updates:

1. The fall guest lineup

I'm still doing the solo episodes every other week. In between, I'm bringing on people who own the numbers rather than talk about them.

Arthur Falcone is coming on to talk about Arlo AI and Tandem Growth, and how sharper marketing insight moves subscription growth.

John Blair runs a DTC CFO agency. He's going to walk through LTV to CAC and what those numbers should be telling you before you spend another dollar acquiring anyone.

Ben Clark has done retention work at Humann, Ancestral Supplements, and ARMRA. He's seen subscription churn from the inside at three brands most people only read about.

And John Roman, founder and CEO of BattlBox, is back. If you've listened to this show for any length of time, you've heard me point at BattlBox's program as the one to study. He's going to break it down.

2. The new tools at thecancelpage.com

This is where most of my build time went, and it's live now.

There's an AI chatbot you can ask anything subscription-related. There's an offer library with hundreds of brands and the offers they run to convert people to subscriptions. There's an email library. And there's a calculator that shows you the ceiling your subscription program hits at your current numbers.

More is coming. Follow me on LinkedIn or X for updates, or just go look.

3. An audit special with Flaunt.ai

We use Flaunt heavily with clients. AI has made our audit process meaningfully faster, so we're cutting the price and passing that on.

Details in the next week or two. If an audit has been sitting on your list, wait for this one.

Why this lineup

Every one of those conversations lands on the same three levers: keep the customers you have, acquire new ones without losing money, and know your numbers well enough to tell which problem you actually have.

None of that is new. What changes this fall is how specific we get about it.

What to do this week

Go run your program through the ceiling calculator at thecancelpage.com. It takes a few minutes, and it'll tell you whether your growth problem is an acquisition problem or a retention problem. Most brands guess at that, and guess wrong.

Then watch for next week's episode. It's the first full one back.

See you Tuesday.
